This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
all the things i realized, some hurt more than most,
like finding out how to look at people with compassion *and* separating my self from their self.
It's a useful skill to grow.
Useful for us when we start to recognize that the world we live in is mentally, emotionally and spiritually afflicted.
It's useful when we see that our parents act out of fear and anxiety and panic just as often as love and generosity and kindness.
The compassion matters because it allows one to realize that they grew up in a way that allowed them to be molded into the system and they cannot totally see what mistakes they are making and what difficulty they are creating for themselves or for their children.
The compassion comes in handy when we see that we are going to have to love and accept ourselves the way that we are. At this point right now. Whatever we are - because we are real too.
And that is why the separate self is important. It is a gift to have awareness and a gift to have self awareness. The curse is coming to feel how mixed up and lonely it can be when you start to see that everyone is just acting in predictable patterns. And they don't really know what is best for you, they just know that they are fearful and scared and react instead of stop and breath and think critically.
Welcome those that understand. Appreciate yourself and your critical thought - I know it can be all to easy to turn it against yourself - first we must develop a love and respect for our own individuality. Without doing this we will only be destroyed by a society and population that's most unconscious impulse is to react in ignorance, fear, hope, or greed.
To the few that are becoming themselves as real human beings... Welcome to the journey.
